My role in the AOIP

My current research is focused on altering the optical configurations within the adaptive optics ophthalmoscope to improve the ability to detect and monitor vascular damage in the human eye. I am also interested in using adaptive optics and optical coherence tomography (OCT) technology to detect biomarkers in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and glaucoma.

Undergraduate: BS, Biomedical Science, Marquette University

Brief Biographical Information

I joined the Advanced Ocular Imaging Program in the summer of 2012 while I completed my undergraduate degree at Marquette University. After graduating with a BS in Biomedical Science in 2014, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to continue to explore my research projects as a research technologist in the AOIP. My work in this lab inspires my pursuit of a PhD degree in the field of Neuroscience. My hobbies include playing basketball, cycling, and fishing.
