Education
Undergraduate: BA, Biology, Lawrence University
Brief Biographical Information
I grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago. I graduated from Lincoln Park High School with an International Baccalaureate Diploma and received my BA in Biology from Lawrence University. I have always been interested in Science, starting with a summer internship at Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium, assisting with summer classes after my freshman year in High School. My original goal was to teach, and after graduating Lawrence I received my teaching certification for Wisconsin. I taught briefly and interned at the Schlitz Audubon Society in Environmental Education. Soon after, I began working at MCW. Surprisingly, working in research, I am continually using my teaching skills, training new students and employees, as well as educating our research subjects. This past year marks 18 years that I have been doing research at MCW.
