Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, I have worked at the Eye Institute since 2008. I have always been interested in science and following my graduation from Marquette University, this interest ultimately led me to the Eye Institute and to the AOIP. While I am particularly interested in the investigation of therapies for blinding disorders, I’m also very much interested in the ethical principles guiding the way in which we conduct research. Outside of the AOIP, I sit on one of the Medical College of Wisconsin’s institutional review board (IRB) committees. Always focused on process improvement, I’m also enthusiastically involved in an ongoing project that seeks to apply lean principles to the research environment.
