Current research interests
I perform research on outer retinal architecture in closed-globe blunt ocular trauma. I also assess outer retinal architecture in early diabetes using adaptive optics retinal imaging. I am interested in diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, ocular trauma, high myopia and heritable retinal diseases.

Brief Biographical Information
I was born and raised in California’s central valley, where I graduated as Salutatorian of Linden High School in 2005. I then attended the University of California, Davis and graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology in 2009. After taking two years off of schooling to gain medical and research experience, I entered medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2011.
