- Spouses' Night Out
This is a monthly get-together which rotates among members' homes and the occasional outside activity. This night is solely for us as spouses and partners and usually entails much talking, laughing and, of course, support.
- Philanthropy
RSA is dedicated to giving back to the community. We are currently working with the Ronald McDonald House to provide meals once every 8 weeks to families who are staying there while their children are being cared for at Children's Hospital.
- Wine and Culture Club
Wine and Culture Club is a monthly event which brings together RSA members to enjoy a fun evening of wine and/or other activities. We visit wine venues to try great new flavors and learn more about the world of wine. Cultural activities could include local theater performances, movie night, visiting Milwaukee landmarks and more. This activity was expanded beyond wine so there will be something for everyone! Spouses are always welcome to join us.
- Thirsty Thursdays
Looking for a chance to get out of the house, socialize and explore Milwaukee? Join us each month to check out a new Milwaukee area hotspot. Come solo, bring your spouse/significant other or a few friends for an opportunity to meet and mingle.
- Children's Playgroups
Playgroups take place every Thursday morning from 9:30am - 11:30am. During late spring, summer and early fall, we meet at local parks. During inclement months (October through March) we meet at members' homes or local indoor facilities.
- Kids' Activities
In addition to the weekly playgroups, a special children's activity is organized each month. These activities include fun-filled trips and events such as: the Milwaukee County Zoo, museums, beaches, pumpkin patches, creative art days and others!
- Parties and Special Events
Just give us a reason to celebrate! RSA hosts parties and special events throughout the year. For example we usually host both a winter holiday party and a spring party and some years we've even help Halloween parties. Other special events include our Fall Softball Tournament and our Winter Membership Drive Event. among others.
- Helping Hands
This is not a regularly scheduled activity, but is in place to set up a support network for resident spouses who need help during a particularly challenging time. We are best known for bringing dinners to families after the birth of a baby. But, members may contact the Helping Hands coordinator to request help during a move, loss in the family or other circumstances. We are here to help!
- Book Club
We meet the last Mondays of every month to discuss a book. If you're interested in joining the book club, come to a meeting. Don't worry if you've not completed the book. Here are the books up for discussion in the coming months:
-
March 2013: The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business by Charles Duhigg
-
April 2013: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
