About Us

The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin endowment, stewarded by the Medical College of Wisconsin, is committed to improving the health of Wisconsin residents. It encompasses two components:

  • Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program (HWPP)
  • Research and Education Program (REP)

About Us

Mission and Vision

The mission of the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin endowment is to serve as a catalyst for positive change in the health of Wisconsin communities. The AHW endowment's guiding principles are Collaboration, Transformation and Stewardship.


Since 2004, the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin endowment has provided more than 300 awards totaling more than $160 million to advance the health of Wisconsin through community health improvement, research and education.


The Medical College of Wisconsin Consortium on Public and Community Health and the MCW Research and Education Advisory Committee provide oversight for the AHW endowment.
