Dr. Tao Wang joined the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2002. He is currently an Associate Professor in Division of Biostatistics with an adjunct appointment at Human and Molecular Genetics Center in the Department of Physiology. Dr. Wang's main research interest is in statistical genetics with an emphasis on statistical modeling of quantitative trait loci and association analysis of SNPs and haplotypes. His collaborative work includes genetic studies on Crohn’s Disease, Juvenile type I diabetes, consomic and congenic rat models in mapping disease genes for hypertension, etc. He is also serving as a PhD statistician for the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR), and is involved as a Biostatistician for the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) and Biostatistics Consulting Service at MCW.
