The Department of Radiology and Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology will be hosting the Seventeenth Annual Wylie J. Dodds Research Lecture on Thursday, March 14, 2013. A reception will kick off the event beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the Clinical Cancer Center, Conference Room M on the 3rd Floor. Appetizers, beverages, coffee and dessert will be served. The lecture will immediately follow. Dennis Balfe MD, a Professor of Radiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri will be the guest lecturer.
Dr. Balfe is a 1975 Doctor of Medicine graduate from the Medical College of Wisconsin In addition to the afternoon lecture, Dr. Balfe will be giving a luncheon lecture from noon to 1:00 p.m. on “Retroperitoneum”, in the Clinical Cancer Center Conference Room M.
On Friday March 15, 2013 Dr. Balfe will present “Resident Cases” at the 7:30 am Resident Conference in Scanlon South and will also give a lecture on Boards of the Future, from noon to 1:00 pm, in Scanlon North, Specialty Clinics Building, 2nd floor, Radiology. This lecture is in memory of the late Wylie J. Dodds, MD, a former MCW faculty member who passed away in 1992. Dr. Dodds was internationally recognized for his pioneering achievements in gastrointestinal motility and swallowing disorders.
