The Division of Colorectal Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin is presenting the 2nd annual Get Your Rear in Gear Milwaukee 5K Run/Walk/Kids’ Fun Run for colon cancer.    We would like to invite you to participate in or volunteer for this year’s event which takes place THIS SATURDAY, October 13th, at Hart Park in Wauwatosa!  Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States!  Please support us in our endeavor to promote awareness for colon cancer screening.

You may register as an individual or as a team online by 6 PM Wednesday, Oct. 10th.

Otherwise you may register at packet pickup in the mezzanine of the Cancer Center on Friday between 3 and 7 PM, or beginning at 7 AM on Saturday at the park.

This year’s event will feature live music, refreshments, door prizes, team and individual awards, Survivors’ hospitality tent,  5K timed run or walk, ½ mile kids’ fun run, bounce house, kids’ craft workshop, and a beautiful route through Honeycreek Parkway!  Proceeds raised will come back to the Division of Colorectal Surgery to help fund colorectal cancer education and awareness events.
