BS, Carroll University, 2011

Faculty Advisor: Joseph Carroll, PhD

Research Area: Retinal development and the relationship between retinal structure, visual acuity and cortical magnification

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Carroll University in Human Biology. I also minored in Psychology and was particularly interested in the field of Neuroscience. After beginning my path towards becoming a Physical Therapist, I realized that my passion for Neuroscience was greater than that for PT. I decided to apply to the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Neuroscience Doctoral Program and have subsequently joined the lab of Joe Carroll. In his lab, I use high resolution retinal imaging as well as functional magnetic resonance imaging to examine the visual system.
