What brought you to MCW?
I was coming back to Milwaukee after finishing Grad school in New Mexico.  MCW had interesting research in infectious disease.

What are you working on now?
I work on Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme disease) mostly doing mouse work to determine the impact of various genes on mouse infectivity.  I also work with ticks to determine the transmissibility of mutant B. burgdorferi in ticks to mice.

What is your favorite thing about your position?
Discovering new things about a disease that impacts many people.

Hobbies and outside of work interests?
I love reading fiction and spending time with my pets Anakin (a bunny) and Obi-wan (a golden retriever mix).

Interesting "Fun Fact"?
My life goal is to visit all of the National Parks.  I've got about 10% under my belt so far!
