Meet Dione Langley

BIOGRAPHY

Dione graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Steven Point with her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Science and received her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from University of Southwestern Louisiana.  She came to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in 2002 where she worked with children with hearing impairments specifically as part of the cochlear implant team.  She has been responsible for evaluating and treating children of all ages with hearing loss, as well as children with other diagnoses.  Dione has participated in research regarding children with hearing loss, collaborated with other professionals working with this unique population, and presented at numerous conferences.  Prior to working at Children’s Hospital Dione worked in birth to three, private practice, and in a public school setting.

Assisting children and their families in obtaining the most appropriate services is an integral part of Dione’s daily practice.  She believes that every child is different and therefore each one should get their own individualized treatment plan.  It is important to not only to work with the child but to include their family and caregivers along with other service providers to make sure everyone is doing what is best for that particular child.  Every child has the potential to succeed –we are there to help them achieve it!
