Chin Surgery

What is Chin Surgery?

Mentoplasty, otherwise known as chin surgery, is a one hour procedure that is performed to reshape the chin by an enhancement with an implant or by a surgical reduction of the bone.  Chin surgery helps provide a harmonious balance to your facial features so that you feel better about the way you look.

What are the side effects I can expect?

Side effects can include temporary numbness, nerve injury, and /or implant rejection.

What does recovery entail?

Recovery following chin surgery with Dr. Rhee is relatively mild.  Typical side effects include swelling which can last several weeks to several months depending upon the individual.  Patients are usually able to return to work within one week.
