PROGRAM REDUCTION/CLOSURE
In the event of program reduction or closure, the Designated Institutional Official of MCWAH, will make every effort to inform program directors and residents (fellows) as soon as possible and to allow residents (fellows) already in the program to complete their training. Reductions will be made first from the number of incoming housestaff. In the event that financial exigency requires a program to be closed, residents will be assisted in identifying and entering a program in which they can continue their education.
The original policy was approved on May 18, 1998 and the revised policy was approved by the MCWAH Graduate Medical Education Council on May 17, 2010.
