High density human cDNA arrays (40,000 probes) and high density rat cDNA arrays (36,000 probes) have been fabricated using fluorescein-labeled cDNA probes, a novel approach which enables quality control assessment to be performed prior to use of the array, allowing the investigator to improve the probability of a positive experimental outcome by avoiding substandard arrays.
We are applying microarrays to look at differential gene expression in animal models of diabetes, cancer, and heart and kidney disease.
