The Transgenic Core facility (TC) supports research projects involving the generation of mutant mouse strains through gene targeting experiments in murine embryonic stem cells, generation of mutant mouse strains from gene targeted embryonic stem cells, generation of transgenic mouse strains via injection of fertilized eggs with DNA constructs, and a variety of other embryo manipulation techniques, such as cryopreservation, embryo-rederivation by caesarian section and embryo transfer, and tetraploid embryo aggregation.
Current projects include studies of the developmental function of Coagulation proteases, identification of genetic risk factors for thrombosis, and generation and analysis of mouse models of human disease (sepsis, diabetes, thrombosis).
