Friends  for  Research

The funds raised at this event will be used to support the Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin. With it’s Children’s Hospital affiliate, the Medical College of Wisconsin was the first to develop a Clinical WGS Program for the treatment of individual patients.  Housed within the Human & Molecular Genetics Center, the WGS Program has demonstrated the unparalleled value of the human genomic sequence.

The physicians and scientists of the WGS program are regarded world-wide as experts in the fields of genetics, genomics, and personalized medicine.  This prestigious group of professionals is dedicated to conducting cutting-edge research utilizing WGS to further understand the genomic basis of  complex disease and translating that understanding into clinical tools that can be used to improve patient health.
