The Status of the African American Child

 

Presentation at National Medical Association Annual Convention & Scientific Assembly New Orleans, LA – July 29, 2012.

Earnestine Willis, MD, MPH was a presenter at the National Medical Association Annual Convention & Scientific Assembly in New Orleans, LA on July 29, 2012. The conference theme was Paradigm Shift: Equipping Physicians for a New Health Landscape. Dr. Willis’ presented during the Grace M. James, MD Memorial Lecture.  Her presentation, The Status of the African American Child, gave participants an understanding of the spectrum of health conditions faced by African American children as well as provided an understanding of the complexity of children health status.  It also highlighted strategies and interventions that improve the health of children.
