Kenneth Friedman, MD, is Associate Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Division of Hematology and Oncology and Medical Director of the Hemostasis Reference Laboratory of the BloodCenter of Wisconsin. He specializes in the care of patients with abnormalities of blood clotting. He graduated from the State University of New York Upstate Medical Center in 1980, completed an internal medicine residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. After completing a fellowship at the BloodCenter of Wisconsin in Transfusion Medicine, Dr. Friedman became a faculty member at the University of New Mexico and then returned to Milwaukee to join the physician staff at BloodCenter of Wisconsin. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine. He has numerous publications and his current research interests are related to the laboratory evaluation and treatment of patients with diseases that interfere with the regulation of blood clotting.
