Division of Hematology and Oncology
Department of Medicine
Welcome to the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Our talented faculty and staff combine humane, patient-centered care with the academic pursuit of better cancer therapies giving new hope to patients and families. The Division provides expertise in all aspects of medical oncology including treatment of solid tumors, hematologic (blood) cancers and bone marrow transplantation. We also provide exceptional care for non-cancerous blood diseases, including bleeding and clotting disorders. Finally, our Palliative Care Service provides expert consultation in quality of life issues for all patients facing serious illness as well as end of life care.
Care by the Division faculty is provided primarily at the Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center and at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. Faculty members also see patients in collaboration with Medical College of Wisconsin oncologists at Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network locations: Froedtert Health Community Memorial Hospital’s Cancer Care Center in Menomonee Falls and Froedtert Health St Joseph’s Hospital’s Kraemer Cancer Center in West Bend. The Froedtert & The Medical College Clinical Cancer Center provides patient-centered, multidisciplinary care. Working closely with our colleagues in Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Urologic Oncology and Gynecological Oncology as well as other specialists at Froedtert & The Medical College (eastern Wisconsin’s only academic medical center), we deliver comprehensive, coordinated treatment for cancer and blood diseases and bring new and better therapies to patients every day
It is a very exciting time for our Division and for the Clinical Cancer Center, with recent dramatic growth not only in our physical facilities but, even more importantly, in the programs and services we can offer patients. As a long-time member of the Medical College of Wisconsin’s faculty, and as a cancer survivor who received all of my care at Froedtert & The Medica l College, I am of proud our accomplishments in cancer research and patient care. I am especially proud of the exceptional work being done by our Hematology and Oncology team of faculty and staff.
Please take some time to explore our website and learn about our physicians, services, educational opportunities, and research. We hope that you will find the information you need.
