Anita D'Souza, M.D.


Anita D’Souza, M.D., is an Instructor the Medical College of Wisconsin Division of Hematology and Oncology, specializing in plasma cell disorders, including multiple myeloma,  AL amyloidosis, POEMS syndrome and cryoglobulinemia at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital and Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer.  She trained at the Goa Medical College in India where she was the Best Medical Graduate and graduated at the top of her class. She went on to complete an internal medicine residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan where she received the Zimmerman Award in 2010, for outstanding clinical judgment, leadership and integrity. After residency, she completed a Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. She is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical and Translational Science at the Clinical and Translational Science Institute, and is in the Clinical Research Scholar’s Program. She also serves as an Assistant Scientific Director at the Center for International Blood & Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). Her current research is focused on the plasma cell disorders and stem cell transplantation for these diseases. Her research has been published in high impact journals such as Blood, Leukemia, British Journal of Hematology, etc. Dr. D’Souza is board certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
