Timothy S. Fenske, M.D.
Associate Professor of Medicine
Dr. Timothy Fenske attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also completed an M.S. degree in cellular and molecular biology. After completing a residency in internal medicine at UW-Madison, he then completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Washington University (Barnes Hospital) in St. Louis, where he was awarded a position on the National Institutes of Health Hematology Training Grant. He joined the faculty of the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2005 and is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. His clinical and research efforts are focused on the care of patients with Hodgkin lymphoma (Hodgkin's disease) and Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He is particularly interested in innovative treatments for lymphoma, including novel pharmaceutical, immunological, and stem cell transplant therapies, as well as strategies to minimize the toxicity of therapy.
A native of the Milwaukee area, he received his B.S. degree in biology, summa cum laude, from Marquette University, where he won election to the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor society. He has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles, invited review articles, and book chapters, and has presented at national meetings on several occasions. He also is an active member of various national committees related to lymphoma clinical research including those of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group and the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research. He is currently the principal investigator on several clinical trials which are actively enrolling patients.
