Biomedical Informatics

Biomedical Informatics at the Human and Molecular Genetics Center involves multiple technologies, research approaches and data domains.  Current research projects involve

  • analysis of next-generation sequence data
  • genomic tool development
  • development of model organism databases
  • development and implementation of ontologies and related tools
  • phenotype data integration, analysis and visualization
  • clinical data standardization and integration
  • text mining

Recent News

The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Human & Molecular Genetics Center (HMGC) joined FDA Precision Medicine (PrecisionFDA) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) and hosted a two-day event to introduce and provide training on recent breakthroughs to translate promising biomedical science discoveries from the bench to the Precision Medicine bedside using the most sophisticated sequencing and cloud computer methods, toolsets and resources.
