MCW Libraries provides support and assistance with using COS Pivot, a comprehensive source of global funding opportunities, including results from national, state and local governments and private foundations.
Work with an MCW Librarian to set up an expert search in COS Pivot.
Step 1: Complete the Search Request Form.
Once your search is ready, request to have it shared with you.
Step 2: Set up an account in COS Pivot.
To set up an account, go to COS Pivot, click Sign Up in the top-right corner of the screen and fill in the account information. Choose Medical College of Wisconsin Libraries as your Affiliated Member Institution.
Note: you must use an MCW email address to set up an account. If you do not have an MCW email address, let us know and we will offer alternate solutions.
Step 3: Verify that your search is saved in your COS Pivot account and that the weekly email alerts are turned on.
The image below demonstrates how to turn on the email alerts. We recommend that you turn these on so that you will be notified if new funding opps are added to COS Pivot that match your search.
Note: If you turn on the email alerts for more than one search, you will only receive one weekly email from COS Pivot. You will only receive emails if new opps are added to COS Pivot that match your search.

Search COS Pivot on your own. View this quickstart guide for some tips on creating a custom search in COS Pivot.
Also, the Office of Research provides a comprehensive list of links to internal and external sources of funding that you can search. The resources include COS, Foundation Directory Online, Grants.gov, and NIH RePORTER.
