Injury Data Resources

Many resources are available at MCW Libraries and on the internet for finding statistical data on injuries. Finding statistics is often a difficult process for various reasons including the difficulty and time involved in data collection.  For additional help finding statistics, please visit our Health Statistics Resources guide.

MCW Libraries subscribes to over 50 injuries and wounds journals, including The Journal of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists.

The journal MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) Surveillance Summaries is a means for CDC programs to disseminate surveillance findings, permitting detailed interpretation of trends and patterns based on those findings. The report contains data on specific diseases and injuries as reported by state and territorial health departments.
