Oct. 24 - Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin (AHW) and the Wisconsin Partnership Program (WPP) presented their first joint conference, “Leading the Way,” on Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Italian Community Center. More than 300 attendees and presenters celebrated the accomplishments and shared lessons learned by past and currently funded projects from the endowment programs at both the Medical College of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

The program has been piloted in Milwaukee at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Baraboo, Waukesha and West Allis, and is being rolled out statewide. The 99th annual commencement took place on May 18 at the Milwaukee Theatre, at which the Medical College of Wisconsin and its Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences awarded 202 MD, 38 PhD, 27 MS, 4 MA, and 18 Master of Public Health degrees, as well as bestowed numerous honors.
