June 8 - Dr. Sam Hwang (Dermatology) received the National Psoriasis Foundation’s A. Marilyn Sime Discovery Grant to use brain scans to study pathways involved in psoriatic itch. Oct. 17 - A collaborative team of researchers from Marquette University and the Medical College of Wisconsin has received a one-year, $50,000 grant from the Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin to study early biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease, and attempt to identify opportunities for effective early interventions.
