The iTunes U platform allows MCW to collect, organize and disseminate digital content that is available 24/7. MCW on iTunes U allows learners to access and download audio and video content.
During our initial rollout, MCW on iTunes U is focused on medical student education. Over time we will encourage our colleagues in GME, CME, and the Graduate School to upload content.
The Medical College of Wisconsin on iTunes U is partially funded as part of the Advancing A Healthier Wisconsin Through A New Model For Medical Student Education project funded through the Educational Leadership for the Health of the Public - Research and Education Initiative Fund, a component of the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin endowment at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Learning is a life-long responsibility for physicians and scientists. Learning happens in an array of locations -- from the classroom and the laboratory to clinical and community settings. Increasingly, learning occurs just in time, without regard for the time of day or location or method. MCW on iTunes U makes mobile or computer-based learning easy by subscribing to content domains of interest which then automatically download new content.
Faculty members, staff and even students are welcome to produce content for iTunes U. Producing audio and video podcasts is not difficult, and there are many on campus who have done it successfully already. Please click on the links below to contact the MCW on iTunes U team if you are interested in learning more about creating podcasts and videos for publication in MCW on iTunes U.
