Application for MRI Safety Training

MRI Safety Training Procedure

There are three required steps for all MRI researchers:

When you are notified that you are enrolled into the MRI Safety Training course.

1. View the MRI Safety video (four parts), on the Angel Learning System complete the exam and submit.

• You may log on at your convenience
• Watch the video (four parts)
• Complete and submit the post exam.

Successful completion of the exam is a score of (80% or higher)

2. Attend the MRI Safety Screening class and take a written test.

• MRI Safety Screening classes are provided as needed, usually once per month. The class and test are usually finished in about an hour. This class is scheduled at a mutually agreed upon time about once per month.

• After you have attended the Safety Screening class you will be enrolled for the review of MRI Safety Standard Operating Procedures and will be able to complete the exam on-line.

3. Complete the review of the MRI Safety Standard Operating Procedures on  the Learning Management System and submit an exam.

• Successful completion of the exam (80% or higher) concludes the initial MRI safety training.

Annual Renewal

A renewal of MRI safety training is required annually and is available on the Learning Management System.
