The year 2013 marked the 120th anniversary of the Medical College of Wisconsin. In this Report, we honor our anniversary by highlighting stories that connect our past and future and carry forward our legacy of creating healthier communities.
Working with partners in Green Bay and Central Wisconsin, MCW is developing an innovative community-based program designed to educate and train more physicians who will remain in Northeast and Central Wisconsin to practice.
A landmark advance more than 35 years ago has improved vision dramatically for thousands of patients with diabetic eye disease. Today, vision research at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute seeks to actually prevent retinal eye disease.
Adults who were born with congenital heart disease find highly specialized, lifelong care at the Wisconsin Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program, a partnership of the Medical College of Wisconsin, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital.
The new Clinical Apprenticeship in Discovery Curriculum at the Medical College of Wisconsin is providing earlier and expanded clinical education for the next generation of physicians.

The Medical College's Office of Technology Development convenes the Technology Innovation Council to discuss the patenting, marketing, licensing and development of early stage biomedical technologies.
The consortium provides oversight for the Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program and serves in an advisory capacity for conversion funds allocated to research and education at the College.
Women researchers and physicians at the Medical College of Wisconsin are making discoveries that are saving lives and improving treatments for patients with injuries and complex diseases.
