The MCW Society of Teaching Scholars is pleased to announce "MCW's Educational Innovations and Innovators" on February 21, 2012 - and we need your help. The goal of the day is to, once again, highlight the outstanding educational scholarship that you, our faculty, have participated in over the last few years. (We had the first "Education Day" in 2006, where over 60 of our colleagues presented their work.)
The day will include several sessions with Dr. Gary Dunnington, a nationally recognized educator who is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. In addition, we would like to recognize and share some of the outstanding education-related work that has been completed by faculty throughout our institution, as well as those who have received extramural funding to support education. SCHEDULE NOW AVAILABLE!
Timeframe for all education-related awards/honors, peer reviewed abstracts, and external funding/grant for 2007-2011 and submission forms for each can be found on the Educational Accomplishments page
We look forward to your participation. And as the symposium date gets closer we will distribute more information about the events including our visiting professor presentation time, topic and location. As always – if you have any questions/ concerns/suggestions please contact us at 414.955.8278, or email: Terry Frederick, Sharon Lake, or Society of Teaching Scholars Members, Drs. Ed Duthie, Jim Sebastian, Deb Simpson or Karen Marcdante
