The Class of 1964 Teaching Innovation Award
For its 40th reunion gift to MCW, the Class of 1964 has created an endowed award focused on medical student education and educators. This award is designed to recognize and support faculty by funding faculty time needed to develop and implement new approaches to teaching and/or learning targeted at medical students.
MCW faculty seeking support for a project involving medical student education – from innovative curriculum to teaching and assessment of a student's performance - may apply for up to $5,000 in salary support (including fringe benefits) which may be allocated over a maximum of two years. Additional funds to support project-related supplies and expenses will be awarded through a partnership between the Class of 1964 Teaching Innovation Award and the Curriculum and Evaluation Committee's Learning Resources Fund. The call for applications will appear periodically depending on the return of the endowment so as to assure that there are sufficient funds available.
