Simultaneous fMRI/ERP of Auditory Change Detection

Brief Clinical/Research Interest Statement

My research employs noninvasive physiological techniques, event-related potential (ERP) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), together with behavioral measures (e.g., reaction time) to investigate the role of attention in auditory information processing. Specific topics include: 1. Effects of task load (Easy vs. Difficult goal- directed task) on detection of auditory irregularities. 2. Attentional and linguistic interactions in speech perception. 3. Effects of consciousness (e.g., sleep vs. wakefulness) on automatic detection of auditory deviance.
