Dr. Guilherme Garcia, PhD

Guilherme Garcia, PhD
Assistant Professor
Department of Otolaryngology and Communications Sciences
Biotechnology & Bioengineering Center

Guilherme Garcia joined the Medical College of Wisconsin in October 2012.  He has a background in physics and biomedical engineering.

His research goals include developing better tools to diagnose nasal obstruction using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of nasal airflow. Additionally, Dr. Garcia also investigates how respiratory epithelia regulate mucus hydration by studying the biophysics of ion transport at the cellular level.
