Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Program (PCORP) Seed Grants
The Center for Patient Care and Outcomes Research (PCOR) is pleased to announce the following Request for Applications for Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Program (PCORP) Seed Grant research projects.
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Program is an initiative funded by the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Research and Education Program (AHW REP) to advance the health of Wisconsin populations through improving methods for conducting patient-centered outcomes research, and applying those methods to key Wisconsin health issues.
Successful applicants will be required to be members of the Center for Patient Care and Outcomes Research (PCOR), including attending and presenting at PCOR Seminars.
Grantees will be asked to relate their project goals to the specific aims of the PCORP, which are:
Examine and improve outcomes that are important to patients, including determining the patient perspective regarding benefits and harms of diagnostic, therapeutic, or health delivery system interventions for prevention and chronic care.
Develop novel methods and approaches for measurement and assessment of patient-centered dimensions of outcomes research.
Examine barriers to improving patient-centered outcomes in clinical practice, with a particular goal of ameliorating disparities in adoption of high-quality practices.
One seed grant of up to $15,000 for one year that will allow faculty to conduct research leading to the submission of a successful extramural grant will be considered.
Information about PCORP 2016 Seed Grant applications will be available in early 2016.
