This course will provide an overview of current topics in recognizing and treating language disorders in children. The audience will be provided with techniques to assist children with language disorders.

Who Should Attend
This activity is designed for pediatricians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, speech and language pathologists, educators, and parents.
Susan Gramling, JD, MS (Speech Pathology) is a specialist in child advocacy and special education law.
Kenneth Grizzle, PhD is a child psychologist and Associate Professor at the Child Development Center. Dr. Grizzle directs the School Performance Program and specializes in language disorders, learning problems, dyslexia and ADHD.
Pamela A. Hadley, PhD is Associate Professor of Speech & Hearing Science at the University of Illinois-Champaign. She holds a PhD in Child Language from the University of Kansas.
Ginny Jagla, MS, CCC-SLP is a speech & language pathologist at the Child Development Center specializing in the evaluation and treating of language disorders in children of all ages.
Kary Mirasola, MS, CCC-SLP is a speech & language pathologist at the Child Development Center specializing in higher level language disorders in school-age children.
Robert Schum, PhD is a child psychologist and Professor at the Child Development Center, specializing in selective mutism, anxiety, and communication disorders.
Mark D. Simms, MD, MPH is Professor and Medical Director of the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Child Development Center. Dr. Simms is board-certified in Pediatrics and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities.
Amy Mack Sindelar, MS, CCC-SLP is a speech & language pathologist at the Child Development Center, specializing in language disorders in younger children.
Melanie Yang, MS, CCC-SLP is a speech & language pathologist at the Child Development Center specializing in language disorders in children of all ages.
