Milwaukee is located in southeastern Wisconsin and is the largest city in the state.  As highlighted in a recent NY Times article, Milwaukee has something for every pediatric resident; you can experience old world charm, cultural diversity, historic neighborhoods, an active music scene and abundant sporting events.  It is an inclusive and welcoming city and a great place to raise a family. Milwaukee is home to Summerfest, the world’s largest music festival, and many ethnic festivals that take place throughout the summer at the lakefront. You can always find new and exciting things to do, like cheering on one of the professional sports teams:

You can visit one of our many culture centers, including the Pabst Mansion, The Harley Davidson museum, the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts and the Milwaukee Art Museum, the first Santiago Calatrava-designed building in the United States.  Milwaukee is a city of architectural beauty with its wealth of homes, churches and buildings from the 1880’s on.

If you enjoy the outdoors, there many places to go within the city, including over 140 Milwaukee County parks, Lake Michigan beaches and preserves and nearby parks and trails. Some of the best hiking, camping, boating and fishing in the state is less than an hour away. Ski hills and cross country trails are also readily accessible.  Milwaukee is a very bikeable city, with devoted lanes and other bike paths traversing the north-south and east-west expanse.
