Carol Galletly is an attorney and social scientist whose research applies empirical methods to guide the development of sound law and policy on critical issues at the intersection of individual behavior and the public health. Her research is multimodal, making use of quantitative and qualitative analytic methods and findings. She addresses topics including sexual health, HIV seropositive status disclosure, stigma, and the assessment of structural-level HIV prevention interventions. Dr. Galletly is currently evaluating the impact of criminal laws requiring HIV positive serostatus disclosure to sex partners and recently had an article published in the American Journal of Public Health. The article entitled  “New Jersey’s HIV exposure law and the HIV-related attitudes, beliefs, and sexual and seropositive status disclosure behaviors of a sample of persons living with HIV,” was written by Dr. Galletly along with other faculty from CAIR.
