Dr. Mahr is a Board Certified Cardiologist at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has received formal training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology and has a wide range of experience in the care of patients with heart failure, assist devices and heart transplantation. Dr. Mahr specializes in the comprehensive, longitudinal care of patients with all etiologies of heart failure and cardiomyopathy, utilizing the latest available medical, surgical and device therapies, including mechanical assist devices (VADs) and heart transplantation. He is an active member of he American College of Cardiology, the Heart Failure Society of America, and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation.
Dr. Mahr's care philosophy is that all patients and families facing these challenging disease processes deserve compassionate, comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, goal-oriented care throughout their lives.
