Carolyn created the initial Parish Nurse Program for St.Joseph's Hospital -Milwaukee, forming a stronger bond with the Orthodox Jewish Community in the surrounding neighborhood by initiating services that incorporated their faith traditions. She worked within the day school as well, providing health education which embraced Judaism. "I helped create and support the Pediatric IBD program at CHW and worked with the physician doing initial Statewide studies of prevalence of IBD in children. I was involved in the early stages of the Stroke Team/stroke studies at MCW. My last role as a staff RN was in Infectious Diseases working predominately with HIV patients/pregnant positive women."
