Dr. Sharpless received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin, where he also completed his Internal Medicine Residency in 1990. He practiced for two years at Beth Israel in Boston before returning to the midwest. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency in our department in 1995, where he was resident 'teacher of the year' in his senior year. His academic interests include clinical and resident teaching. Dr. Sharpless is the Medical Student Director for Emergency Medicine.
