About the Symposium
The First Annual Redox Biology Program Symposium, “Cardiovascular Redox Signaling Symposium,” will be Nov. 14, 2014, at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wis.
Four main subjects will be addressed:
New frontiers in vascular biology
Sirtuins and adaptive response to oxidant stress
Mitochondria and metabolism in redox stress
NOX and oxidants in cardiovascular disease
We are privileged to have four keynote speakers — Ivor Benjamin, MD, John M. Denu, PhD, Richard A. Cohen, MD, and Jay W. Heinecke, MD. Also, Medical College of Wisconsin faculty and staff members will give presentations and share posters.
This symposium serves as a regional gathering of Redox Biology and cardiovascular scientists, clinicians and students. This is an opportunity to share novel ideas, support collaborative efforts and network with individuals from a variety of disciplines. As noted, the symposium will feature podium lectures and poster presentations.
Registration is free and required for all participants. Please sign up at this site by Oct. 10, 2014. Abstracts for the poster presentation are also due by Oct. 10, 2014.
We look forward to seeing you there.
