Cardiologist Sara Hariman joins Medical College faculty, Zablocki VA Hospital staff
Sara L. Hariman, MD, has been appointed assistant professor of medicine (cardiovascular medicine) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She sees patients at Zablocki VA Medical Center.
Board certified in internal medicine and echocardiography, Dr. Hariman’s clinical interests include the management of patients with chronic heart failure and coronary artery disease.
Prior to joining the MCW faculty, Dr. Hariman completed a fellowship in cardiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals.
After earning her MD from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Ill., in 2006, Dr. Hariman completed a residency in internal medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 2002, and also earned an immunogenetics certificate at the Pasteur Institute in Paris.
Dr. Hariman received the Donald Tresch Cardiovascular Fellowship Award in 2011, a recognition memorializing the career of a physician and scientist whose teaching and research helped improve the state of knowledge regarding geriatric cardiovascular health.
