Family medicine specialist David Goldstein joins Medical College of Wisconsin faculty
David Jonathan Goldstein, MD, has been appointed assistant professor of family and community medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). He sees patients at Waukesha Family Practice Clinic and Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Goldstein’s clinical interests include the treatment of patients with sepsis, a serious and sometimes fatal condition that can occur as the body fights an infection, and the improvement of the storage and use of patient data to improve clinical outcomes.
Prior to joining the MCW faculty, Dr. Goldstein was a hospitalist at Presbyterian Medical Group in Albuquerque, N.M. He completed a residency in family medicine at Columbia St. Mary’s in Milwaukee in 2010. He is also a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and served aboard the nuclear aircraft carrier U.S.S. Nimitz (CVN-68).
After earning his MD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway in 2001, Dr. Goldstein completed an internship with the U.S. Navy at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va., before training as a naval flight surgeon at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, Fla. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, N.J., in 1997.
