Hospitalist Carrie Anne Alme-Boaz joins Medical College of Wisconsin Faculty, Froedtert Hospital Staff

Carrie Anne Alme-Boaz, MD, has been appointed assistant professor of medicine (general internal medicine) at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). As a hospitalist, she sees inpatients at Froedtert Hospital.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Alme-Boaz’s clinical interests include acute hospital care, humanism in medicine and teaching.

Prior to joining the MCW faculty, she served as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota as well as a hospitalist at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Dr. Alme-Boaz has received multiple awards including the Philanthrofund Doctor’s Award and the Metropolitan Mount Sinai Award from the University of Minnesota, and the Outstanding Leadership Award from the Weissman Center for Leadership at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass.  She also served on the National Advisory Board for the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

Dr. Alme-Boaz earned her MD from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, where she also completed her residency in internal medicine. She received her bachelor of arts degree from Mount Holyoke College, with a double major in chemistry and economics.
