Psychologist Sadie Larsen joins Medical College of Wisconsin Faculty
Sadie Larsen, PhD, has been appointed assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). She sees patients at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, and at the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, located at the Tosa Center.
Prior to joining the MCW faculty, Dr. Larsen served as a clinical psychology postdoctoral fellow in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the VA Boston Healthcare System. Her clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, and depression.
Dr. Larsen has won multiple awards, including the Herman Eisen Award for Excellence in Professional Contribution to Psychology, the Edwin H. Olson Award in Psychological and Human Services, and several travel grants from the University of Illinois.
While earning her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Dr. Larsen completed a predoctoral internship in general psychology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She received her Master of Arts degree in clinical/community psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2007, and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lawrence University in 2005.
