What resources are available to assist me with my grant application?


The Office of Research provides support for writing grant applications in addition to providing assistance with the submission process.  These services are summarized below, and include a reference to a source for NIH tips.

 

Grant Writing Assistance


The Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) offers grant writing assistance for new investigators which includes guidance for every step of the application process.

Grant Boilerplate


Grant boilerplate, templates, and sample language are available from the Office of Grants & Contracts (GCO) for topics such as: responsible conduct of research, biosketches, facilities and resources, and institutional data. Boilerplate language is also available for NIH Career, Fellowship, Research and Training Grants. Visit the Boilerplate web page on the Office of Grants and Contracts site.

 

Submitting Your Application Through eBridge


eBridge Training

Most grant applications must be submitted via eBridge, a web-based software application. Research Systems Training offers hands-on training on how to use eBridge to submit your Funding Proposal. eBridge Procedure Guides

The Office of Grants & Contracts (GCO) provides Procedures Guides which offer specific instructions on submitting grant applications. Visit the GCO site Procedure Guides and select the appropriate guide for the type of grant you wish to apply for.

 

NIH All About Grants Podcast


The Office of Extramural Research (OER) presents conversations with NIH staff members. Designed for investigators, fellows, students, research administrators, and others, we provide insights on grant topics from those who live and breathe the information. In mp3 and updated monthly.
