Genyne L. Edwards, JD

Genyne Edwards, JD is Principal Consultant of WOO Connections, a relationship-driven capacity building consulting firm. Edwards has developed numerous strategic partnerships and convened diverse leaders, influential interest groups, mental health consumers and advocates, local government officials, and Wisconsin state policymakers.

Her professional career has been driven in large part by her passion for service. As an attorney, she has been actively engaged in policy, politics and social advocacy. While Deputy Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, she managed more the 40 employees and an annual budget of $12 million. Her standard of excellence is currently visible in several important projects, including the “Making Parity Real” statewide policy project and Cardinal Stritch’s African American Leadership Program.

Edwards received her undergraduate degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University, and her Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School. She has also obtained several certifications including a professional coaching certificate from the Cardinal Stritch University Coaching for Leaders Program and a commercial real estate certification from Marquette University’s Associates in Commercial Real Estate Program.
