Glenn Allen Bolton, Jr., MPH, MBA

Glenn Allen Bolton, Jr., Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration for the Medical College of Wisconsin, will oversee the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin endowment funds as one of his responsibilities.  Mr. Bolton has over 24 years of experience in healthcare management and administration in two prestigious academic medical centers. Mr. Bolton is active in the community, having played significant roles in teen wellness, behavioral risk factor surveillance, child safety seat legislation, the American Cancer Society, Cub Scouts and the Boy Scouts of America, and Habitat for Humanity.

He is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, but has resided in Birmingham, Alabama and Dallas, Texas for the past 24 years, where he has served in a number of leadership capacities in two prestigious academic medical centers (University of Alabama Birmingham and University of Texas Southwestern).

Mr. Bolton has an extensive portfolio of experiences, including oversight of over $500 million of cumulative annual expense budgets; recruitment and retention of academic department chairs; strategic planning; facilities management; construction of research, medical education, and office facilities; LCME self-study and accreditation visits; compliance; and numerous operational and financial aspects of managing a broad portfolio of activities in a top rated medical school.

Mr. Bolton earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee School of Education, a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Graduate School of Management.
