The Department of Anesthesiology participates in teaching a required course for third year medical students, and offers a number of elective rotations for fourth year students. Medical students who have an early interest in anesthesiology may join our Resident Assistant Program as early as their second year of school. This affords them the opportunity to spend additional time in the OR under the tutelage of our anesthesia residents and faculty, thereby confirming their interest in anesthesiology.
